ABOUT US

   The Eagle Elite Literary Society is GSU’s newest student organization for anyone interested in studying literature. EELS’ main goal is to help you find your nerdy-niche at Southern. Regardless of whether you’re an English major or minor or you’re just plain interested in talking about books, come and find out what EELS is really all about—bring your appetite for knowledge.

      EELS is an organization dedicated to offering more opportunities to be involved within the English Department at Georgia Southern. This society is committed to building community between English majors, offering opportunities for English majors to fund raise for study aboard, give back to the literary community, and promote the English Department within Statesboro and Georgia Southern itself.

     Eagle Elite is open to all English majors and minors regardless of GPA. We are also devoted to having fun while furthering our literary knowledge.

 

 

COMMUNITY OUTREACH

 

 

   The Eagle Elite Literary Society has two main focuses in the community; the Bulloch County Correction Institute and a local women's shelter. Each semester we hold a campus wide book drive to donate to the inmates at the correctional facility. EELS students gather and deliver the books to add to the prison's library. For a local women's shelter, EELS collects the basic necessities such as towels, toiletries, and supplies. If you are interested in donating, please contact EELS.
